Playset Services is a small family owned and operated playground service company based in Columbus, Texas. Proudly serving Texas families in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Victoria, Columbus and surrounding areas with over 30 years of combined experience in the playground industry.
Jack Bowser and Spencer Bowser head up this small Texas company that provides reliable, knowledge based experience in the area of backyard playset installations, repairs, relocations and general maintenance. After almost 20 years of field work, Jack sticks to running the day-to-day operations of the business and is usually the voice of experience you hear when you call for information, while his son Spencer, heads up field operations which include assemblies, repairs and maintenance. Our commitment to maintaining a family feel means all our work is done by in-house staff trained and managed by us. While staying small limits our income potential, our long term experience has taught us to shy away from using outside contractors who are only in it for the money. |
Who We Are |
Jack Bowser has been immersed in the playground industry since 1996 where he initially worked for the local Rainbow Play Systems distributor in Houston as a warehouse manager/salesman. It was during this brief period of employment he recognized there was a solid need for backyard playset services. Fast forward 20 years later and Jack's experience building, repairing, and moving a variety of backyard play systems, makes him one of the most versatile and knowledgeable people you will ever talk to regarding a child's swingset.
Utilizing that vast bank of experience, he wrote four DIY playset instruction manuals on how to make your own swingset and has been featured in a Better Homes and Garden DIY book called "Playsets" as well as the This Old House website. Spencer Bowser has been working next to his Dad designing and building swingsets since he was two years old and with a lifetime of playground experience under his belt, he has a passion for this work you can't train into anyone. Spencer's unique upbringing in this primary colored business and living a life emersed in play equipment has made him a natural for this type of work and his experience will someday surpass his father's. |
