The Sunray Playset from Rainbow Playsystems... The Sunray has been distributed exclusively by Costco since 2004. Sunray has changed their design every year since, but it's usually a knock off of the Carnival Series from Rainbow Playsystems. There are subtle differences between the two, but the big difference is the cost. The Carnival sells for over $2000. The Sunray is under $1600.

After 10 you lose count... We've assembled more than 100 of the varied Sunray designs over the last 4 years and we like the system. It is one of the most trouble free box playsets we assemble or install. The average backyard Dad will spend 20-22 hours putting this thing together. Our experienced techs average 4-5 hours for assembly time.

This is a great project for the do-it-yourself parent... The plans are fairly easy to follow, the wood parts are marked, and the differences in types of fasteners are minimal. It will take some time, but it can be done. The pictures shown here are a Sunray installed by one tech in 10 hours. Having the right tools makes a big difference. If you do this yourself, use the recommended tools outlined in the Sunray manual.

We think you should call us... You'll be glad you did. It's much easier to watch us sweat. We've done this one enough times to build straight from the boxes and make it look easy. It's not the way the instructions say to do it, but we do refer to the instructions from time to time. Assembling swingsets is like riding a bike, once you learn you never forget.
